Believe it or not Port Louis has the 2nd oldest racecourse in the world with the oldest known racing club. Where is the oldest you ask? In Chester in the UK. Races are held every Saturday every weekend of the year. It also incorporates a kids playground and 2 soccer fields. It is pretty much smack bang in the middle of Port Louis and you can get a great view of it from Adelaide Fort which was built by the French, named by the English and has never had a gun shot from it.
